Nova’s product lines cover double-coated tapes, single-coated tapes, transfer tapes, digital printable media, self-wound tapes, and custom constructions — across applications from foam bonding and HVAC sealing to signage mounting, gasket fabrication, laminating, printable media, and industrial assembly.
Nova also offers contract coating, laminating, slitting, and sheeting services. Whether you need a coated substrate built to a specific performance spec or a stock product processed to your exact format, we work alongside you to get it right.

Our History
2026:
Since being incorporated in 2001, Nova Films & Foils Inc. has grown significantly. To better reflect our current and future business, we rebranded to Nova Tapes, Laminates, and Coatings – or more simply Nova. While our name has changed, we will still work hard to bring you a diverse line of pressure sensitive adhesives, transfer adhesives, films, metal and foil tape products, along with providing toll coating, laminating, slitting, and converting services.
With our in-house R&D department, Nova is constantly extending our product line to find solutions to today’s material challenges. This innovation drive allows us to better serve our existing customers as well offer products to a broad range of new markets.
2015:
Installation of a top-of-the-line adhesive coater was completed allowing for a significant increase in quality and service for our customers.
2012:
As part of our attention to quality and continuing development, Nova Films & Foils, Inc. was certified for ISO 9001-:2008 in September 2012. We have maintained ISO 9001 certification ever since.
2001:
The assets of National Films and Foils, Inc. were purchased by an investment group. The business was incorporated as Nova Films & Foils, Inc. and re-capitalized. Adding new equipment and upgrading existing equipment.
1987:
The foils department of Davidson Industries was split away from National Strapping and incorporated as National Films and Foils, Inc.
1980:
Our company was originally part of Davidson Industries, Inc. founded in 1980. Our division manufactured foil products or thin gauge metals. The National Strapping Division was responsible for the heavier gauge carbon steel and stainless steel banding products.
