NF1603
Acrylic transfer adhesive with no carrier, on an 80# SCK liner. At 50 oz/in peel and 35°F application temperature, NF1603 provides moderate-tack bonding that can be applied in cold ambient environments where standard adhesives require warmer conditions. Service to 140°F. For automotive trim bonding, foam component assembly, and gasket fabrication where low application temperature and moderate peel strength are both specified.

- Gaskets & Sealing: Die-cutting gasket profiles from a moderate-tack transfer adhesive with a 35°F application temperature for cold-environment gasket fabrication and sealing assembly.
- Industrial Assembly: Assembly bonding in unheated facilities or cold environments where the 35°F application capability allows adhesive application without auxiliary heating.
- Laminating & Converting: Laminating and converting operations in cold or ambient-temperature facilities where standard adhesive tapes require warmer conditions to apply.
- Specialty Bonding: Automotive trim bonding and specialty bonding in cold-environment manufacturing where moderate-tack transfer adhesive and low application temperature are both required.
Are custom widths and short runs available?
Yes. Nova offers custom slit widths and welcomes short runs across the full product line. Most quotes are returned within 24–48 hours. Reach out today to discuss your specific requirements.
When should I use a transfer tape instead of a film-carrier tape?
Transfer tapes are adhesive-only — no carrier film — so the adhesive is invisible once the liner is removed. Use a transfer tape when a clean, seamless finish matters, when a thinner construction is needed, or when a carrier film would interfere with the application. Film-carrier tapes offer more handling control and are better suited where dimensional stability or higher shear resistance is required.
Why is acrylic transfer adhesive specified for NF1603 in automotive trim bonding?
Acrylic adhesive provides strong adhesion to painted and primed metal surfaces common in automotive trim assembly while resisting plasticizer migration from the trim material — a known failure mode for rubber-based adhesives over time. Its temperature resistance also suits the thermal cycling in automotive environments.
