NF1601

Acrylic transfer adhesive with no film or fabric carrier, on a 78# SCK release liner. Transfers directly from liner to substrate at the point of application. At 30 oz/in peel and 35 oz/in loop tack, NF1601 provides moderate, reliable bond strength for foam bonding and general industrial assembly within a 180°F service range. Application temperature 55–85°F.

  • Gaskets & Sealing: Die-cutting gasket profiles from a transfer adhesive at moderate 30 oz/in peel; no-carrier construction provides uninterrupted adhesive-to-substrate contact at both bonding interfaces.
  • Labels & Identification: Bonding label stock and identification materials where moderate, consistent adhesive transfer from an SCK liner provides reliable label adhesion.
  • Laminating & Converting: Laminating with a moderate-tack transfer adhesive on SCK liner; for converting operations where a no-carrier adhesive layer transfers cleanly for substrate-to-substrate bonding.
  • Signage & Graphics: Mounting signs and graphics with a no-carrier transfer adhesive at moderate peel; the absence of a carrier eliminates any visible carrier.

Are custom widths and short runs available?

Yes. Nova offers custom slit widths and welcomes short runs across the full product line. Most quotes are returned within 24–48 hours. Reach out today to discuss your specific requirements.

When should I use a transfer tape instead of a film-carrier tape?

Transfer tapes are adhesive-only — no carrier film — so the adhesive is invisible once the liner is removed. Use a transfer tape when a clean, seamless finish matters, when a thinner construction is needed, or when a carrier film would interfere with the application. Film-carrier tapes offer more handling control and are better suited where dimensional stability or higher shear resistance is required.

What is the advantage of a transfer tape like NF1601 over a film-carrier tape for labeling?

Transfer tapes leave no carrier — once applied and the liner removed, only the adhesive is present. For labeling, this means no added thickness or stiffness from a carrier film, allowing labels to conform to curved surfaces and reducing the visible tape layer beneath the label face stock.
