POLYSCRIMHS3

Scrim-reinforced heat-activated adhesive tape. An alternative heat seal chemistry to POLYSCRIMHS2 on the same fiberglass scrim carrier, for applications where POLYSCRIMHS2 bond characteristics do not match the substrate or process temperature profile. No room-temperature tack; activates under heat and pressure. For nonwoven bonding, insulation laminating, and HVAC assembly requiring the formulation 3 bond profile.

Adhesive: Heat Activated
  • HVAC: Sealing and facing HVAC duct insulation with a scrim-reinforced, heat-activated construction; formulation 3 bond profile where POLYSCRIMHS2 does not match the substrate.
  • Insulation: Laminating scrim-reinforced facing to insulation substrates in manufacturing where formulation 3 heat-seal chemistry is the matched formulation for the insulation material.
  • Laminating & Converting: Alternative to POLYSCRIMHS2 in converting lines using the same scrim carrier and heat-activation process — formulation 3 where formulation 2 bond characteristics are insufficient.
  • Specialty Bonding: Heat-activated bonding where scrim reinforcement is required and the formulation 3 bond profile matches process temperature and substrate requirements.

Are custom widths and short runs available?

Yes. Nova offers custom slit widths and welcomes short runs across the full product line. Most quotes are returned within 24–48 hours. Reach out today to discuss your specific requirements.

What's the difference between a self-wound tape and a linered tape?

Self-wound tapes have no release liner — the adhesive winds directly against the back of the tape, reducing cost and eliminating liner waste. Linered tapes carry a separate release liner to protect the adhesive, which is useful when the backing and adhesive are incompatible or when precise peel-and-apply handling is required.

How does POLYSCRIMHS3 differ from POLYSCRIMHS2 in insulation bonding?

POLYSCRIMHS3 is formulated with a different adhesive weight or activation range from POLYSCRIMHS2, making it suited for specific insulation substrates or laminating lines that require a different heat-seal profile. Contact Nova to confirm which variant matches your activation equipment and substrate.
